Where in the Webster?

Part of the Art Deco Culture on Miami Beach, The Webster is one of the hot-spots of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim, hosting Pop-up shops and elegant designer parties. The interior is richly dark, and elegant in total juxtaposition to the pastel exterior. A giant silver champagne laver full of icy Piper Heidsieck greets guests at the intimate bar. Beautiful People with those tan faces and white teeth smile and invite you in. This could be serious!

Being the Fashionista that I am, all things being equal, I figured the Piper could chill a few minutes longer without me. Besides, there was the coolest Pop-up Surf shop beckoning me just beyond the lobby and all manner of delicious surfer dudes milling around. So like a true paparazzi, I snapped photos until they made me stop.

So then, as the Beach was just getting started into Day Two of  “Swim”, The Third Floor of the Webster was just heating up with an array of Matthew Williamson’s latest collection in perfect-for-Miami peacock summer colors. Gowns and dresses so intricately beaded they looked mosaic.

Of course no one wanted to get thirsty, so Belvedere Vodka kindly stepped in with a few more of Miami’s gorgeous girls to help pour a little liquid sunshine in Pink Grapefruit flavor.

Gowns and dresses, however, beckoned and called to me. This stunning dress was made to look like a Byzantine Temple and looked even more amazing on Nicole, Matthew Williamson’s PR Director.

There were gowns to wear to that fantastic Ball you were asked to at the end of the summer and tiny little bikinis to wear right now. The unmistakable elegance of the Webster combined with the outrageously classy attention to detail of Matthew Williamson left my head in the tropical clouds as I headed out into the hot Miami Night.
