If BCBGMAXAZRIA was Elegant, them Max Azria can only be described as Ethereal. Every piece fluid and effortlessly draped, light as gossamer, over the ballerina like models such as Jac, Daria, and Nimue. Sophisticated and yet evoking something of minimal air, the colors ranged from nude, mint, cream, and dove gray. Backs of gowns and jackets were cut out with long narrow slits, baring only slightly. Gowns, that were below the knee or to the floor touched like a whisper. Over sweaters were filmy and showed a blush gown plainly beneath. This is minimalism with angels wings. Swimsuits had cutouts and tiny strapping that elongated the body. Prints were limited to a few batiked gowns and some sequin embellishments. The few black items managed to still evoke feathery air. On of the more remarkable things was the audience. Hushed and almost reverent, and auspiciously attended by the French Vogue editor Carine Roitfeld. The capacity crowd from all over the world clearly all adoring Max and Lubov Azria.
