When you think of Boston, you don’t think of fashion right away. Banking, yes, fashion..not so much. But no one told Boston School of Fashion Design graduate; Jackie Frazier-Swan that. Playing with the tones of light and darkness, she focused on the contrast that light creates adding elements of shape and texture with glints of color to bring together a Spring Collection of surprising artistic talent. With a color palette of muted blues, dove gray, black, silver and white that seemed to rise from the mists of a Walden Pond morning, each piece depicted the how light works with the elements. The cage layered and chiffon underlay textured Bubble skirt along with the stunning aubergine ostrich leather moto jacket highlighted the collection. This was insightfully contemporary for a first runway show at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week for this designer.
