Highlights of Milan Spring 2012

Here are some of the best of Milan Fashion Week (thus far). There were some surprises: Blumarine CAN make ladylike dresses, Roberto Cavalli jumped niche and designed a jaw dropping collection, Salvatore Ferragamo has found color in a major way, eyewear will be enormous, the hugely popular Versace, is obviously spending a lot of time on the collab for H&M, scarves as clothing is going to be the Italian Spring Trend, Gucci and Pucci  are maintaining their sucessful brand style with a deepening sense of luxuriousness, and Prada will have us flying around in jet flame shoes. But the Show was stolen by that lovable design duo Domenco Dolce and Stefano Gabanna. It was formally announced that this was to be the final D&G Collection and the runway was show stopping, and the main Dolce & Gabbana runway collection was utterly lavish. Entire gowns, bustiers, skirts and dresses were covered in a treasure of floral rainbow crystals. The lushness of the line put everything else in a totally different class. It was truly spectacular. Hover over each gorgeous photo (courtesy of Style.com) to see who and what each piece of luscious Italian Fashion is. Enjoy the Feast.
