The Boys of Nautica were back in town. Upstairs at Ed’s Chowder House across from Lincoln Center, wine was flowing as Menswear Apparel maker Nautica dished up some warm looks for Fall 2012. Dashing and polished as ever, designer Chris Cox dressed them in looks that were inspired, he said, by the iconic water-men of the Northeast Coast. You know, the usual sail-makers, dock-hands (love to see one dressed in this), Admirals and Coastal Prepsters. Thirty looks on the gorgeous men complete with a huge accessory collection that Nautica is well known for, were set on display to a grateful crowd. Styles went from casual daytime to actual working gear and cargo for, say a very well dressed, apparel savvy sailor. The stunning ivory Shetland wool blazer jacket brought the collection to a whole new level. Layering with ties, button downs, vests, sweaters, jackets and coats showed that Cox understands the need for warmth on the Upper Coast and gave each look many variations. Another superb party and jam packed house at the insanely popular Nautica Men’s Collection for Fall 2012.
