Brazilian Carlos Miele dug deep into his roots for his Fall Winter 2012 Collection. The women of the Rio Grande do Sul were his muse. Taking the traditional gauchas and giving it a definite uptown Cosmopolitan feel he once again delivered a season of beauty in motion. Miele payed careful attention to every detail, even making the gold tipped tassels and fringe on boots part of the heritage. The hat and sashes were authentic gauchas. Tiras weaving and crushed crepe bought a soft sophistication making this a truly feminine collection. Far from equestrian, color was there. Not, perhaps in the brilliant way Miele usually paints a collection, but plum, shiny golds, and even a brilliant blue reminded us that Carlos Miele is from the land of the sun. The DJ duo spinning at the runway entrance reminded us that he is from the land that loves to dance.
