Reem Acra was thinking of major feminine power for her Fall 2012 Collection. The runway was as glossy and sleek at the model’s hair. Starting with leather suits and dresses in deep jewel tones and progressing slowly to metallic tweeds with lace and chiffon peeking from underpinnings, the smoldering tension of woman power was unmistakable. Arca, known for such delicate garments as wedding gowns, decided to make a street worthy collection for those power women of the world. Gowns were there, mostly in gold and black, with their intricate bead-work and trailing trains. But this was a side of the designer that shows she knows how to dress the successful (read: Wealthy) women of the world. This was the Power Issue.
