Carlos Miele is one of the rare designers that goes through life always looking for ways to better the world. His vision is beyond global. He uses his designs to speak about his passions and concern for the earth. This year his conversation for Spring 2013 was about the Jungle. Named the Hallucinatory Jungle, he brought the creatures that live there to life in the fabric prints he used. Bright colors tinted the so named animal skin patterns in chiffon that billowed like smoke behind each model as she walked. The effect, as always, in a Carlos Miele fashion show is theatrical. Yet the designs are also fluid and incredibly flattering to the female figure. Being a native of Brazil helps focus Mr. Miele on the best parts of a woman’s shape and he has a perfect sense on how to accentuate them. Wrapped and draped to the best advantage, his loyal fans eagerly revel in his creations. Most of the looks sported some type of jungle animal pattern, some had multiple patterns. The vivid greens in pants and gowns were reminiscent of the jungle itself as a living thing. Again Miele is putting his amazing artistic background to wonderful use with his creative fabric and patterns.
