Known to dress the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, this Spring 2013 Collection was like a lookbook of the princess’s style. Gone are the smoldering, red see-through looks from last Fall that brought out the likes of Dita Von Teese. Gone also was coiled hair, smoky entrance, and the come hither look on the models. This was a clean, understated and elegant Jenny Packham that could carry a modern Princess into a gala event or a charity ball. It all started and ended with fantastic Hall of Mirrors looks that caught the light from hundreds of tiny fractured pieces of mirror sewn into the fabric (how does she do that?). The effect was dazzling, even on a two piece suit. Jenny gave testament that Orange is going to continue to be huge next Spring as it was featured heavily in the collection along with that soft yellow that looks so lovely on the Duchess. Looks were slim, long and perfect for an elegant Red Carpet Event, whether you’re a princess or not. Out favorite look was the polka-a-dot suit with the 40’s inspiration, too chic.
